The Greater Essex Scholarship Foundation will host its 1st Annual Scholarship Award Ceremony on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. at McLoone’s Boathouse, 9 Cherry Lane, West Orange, New Jersey.

The event will recognize four outstanding student scholarship recipients for their academic achievement, perseverance, and commitment to excellence. Honorees include:

  • Kenriq Benjamin of Orange High School – $ 1,000
  • Asael Serrano of Barringer High School –  $ 1,000
  • Savannah Samuels of Saint Vincent Academy – $ 500
  • Mariah-Eduarda Garcia of Science Park High School – $ 500

The ceremony marks a significant milestone for the Greater Essex Scholarship Foundation as it launches its inaugural awards program to celebrate and support students pursuing brighter futures through education. The foundation’s work reflects a continued investment in the development of young leaders across the Greater Essex community.
